White Fang (2018) | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Guy Lodge Variety The pace is considerably more deliberate than that to which viewers raised on U.S. studio animation will be accustomed, though it does arguably honor the episodic origins of its literary source. Lathen B Such a beautiful movie. As your thrown into a story of a tragic, beautiful movie that is one of my favorites. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/20/24 Full Review The Real T You must at least watch this movie once, because it's absolutely awesome sauce! The movie can be very visual, tense, dark, and comforting an 1hour and 27m. Only one takeaway, the voice acting can be little cringy at times, but it is absolute watch. Check it out with kids! Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/23 Full Review StephenPaul C The most animated 01 hour: and 25 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is just amazing. Some scenes are satisfying and so is the actual plot. The start has you hating the criminals from the very beginning, and it just gets better and better throughout the story. This also portrays business in a way, and how horrible people can be, and how good people can be at the exact same time, which is something I personally have never seen done in a movie before. This takes you on a few emotions such as anger, sadness, even a little bit scared. But the most notable feeling at end is happiness, joy, and relief. I definitely recommend this movie if you haven't watched it, or are considering it, it was amazing, 10 out of 1o in my books. I actually clapped at the end. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It was OKAY. There was bits and pieces where the animation was actual alright but overall there was far too much that was cringy - whether intentional or not. Since it was already clear they were changing parts of the story to likely sanitize things for young viewers, the one major thing they SHOULD have done would be to give a true voice for the native people depicted. Of course the focus should be the wolf dog but that doesn't mean the humans should be reduced to scarcely bit actors. I also found the ending really lacking - not the least because it was the opposite to what took place in the book. The entire point of the book, in the end, was White Fang finding a human that wasn't exploiting or abusive but who loved him and cared about him. So... why?? Overall I give it a grand "blah" but at least children should get through it with minimal fuss. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Taking away everything that made the book so colorful leaves this children's rendition feeling dull, washing out the emotions and deep themes that made the source noteworthy.
