How to reset Okta security questions? ›

Once the user is able to login again, instruct the user to go to their Okta dashboard, navigate to the Settings page, and then there will be a "Forgot Password Question" box where they can change their security question/answer.

1. If user tries to Login in with Invalid Credentials after 3 unsuccessful login attempts, their account will be locked out. 2. After 30 minutes, the system will auto-unlock the account.

When you create an authentication policy, it starts with a single catch-all rule that allows access to all requests with any two factor types. Configure your authenticator requirements by adding rules and prioritizing them over the catch-all. For example, you can add one rule that prompts all users for a password.

User experience limitations: While Okta provides a user-friendly interface, some users may find the user experience less intuitive or visually appealing compared to other identity and access management solutions.

If you forgot both your security question answers, there are two things you can do. If you have a computer that you have chosen to “Remember computer” on, you can log in on that computer and reset your security questions.

Go to SecurityAuthentication. Select Legacy Policy, click Edit, and scroll down to Account Recovery. Clear the Security question check box under the Additional self-service recovery option.

Students can create / update their security questions from their OneLogin Portal. Click on your initials / avatar in the top right corner of your portal and select Profile. In your profile, select Security factors. Click Add Factor to create your security questions.

You can change your security questions at any time. In Windows 10, open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and click the Update your security questions link. Enter the password for your local account, choose your security questions, type the answers, and click Finish.
